I moved to Northern California in the 1990s, and this was filmed at my high school. In our physics class, we were given about a hundred popsicle sticks and some Elmer's glue and told to build a bridge that could hold as much weight as possible.
After all the other bridges had broken, it was time to test mine. We ran out of precision weights in the classroom, so we started taking turns standing on it. Even our varsity football center couldn't break it. That's when we decided to bring it to the weight room—where this video picks up.
